Conveyancing, Notarial Services and Property Matters
We are actively involved in all aspects of property related matters including the transfer of commercial, residential and agricultural properties. We are privileged to act for various Developers and have been intimately involved in the establishment of various private developments, including the opening of sectional title registers, consolidation of properties and all regulatory issues that pertain thereto and the subsequent transfer of the property to the end user. We are privileged to be on the panel of listed financial institutions and we have an efficient property division, staffed by experienced conveyancing paralegals under the direct supervision of our experienced conveyancers who have at their disposal, the very latest software and resources.
We have team members experienced in the drafting of commercial and residential lease agreements, including the ability to conduct verification of potential tenants.
In addition, we also attend to the drafting of and registration of notarial bonds as well as ante-nuptial contracts.
Family Law
We have in excess of 30 years of experience in various aspects of family law including divorces, custody disputes, maintenance and other related family law disputes. Construction Law and Arbitration
This is a specialised area of law and V. Chetty Inc. is one of the few experienced practitioners, in KwaZulu Natal, that deal in this discipline of Law. Our experience encompasses all aspects of Construction matters, including the drafting of necessary agreements, and dealing with disputes arising out of construction agreements including JBCC, GCC and MBA . We are intimately familiar with, and have been directly involved in mediations, adjudications, arbitrations and all other related disputes that arise out of building contracts and ancillary activities.
Debt Collection
We specialise in commercial and individual debt collection and currently have a department fully dedicated to this aspect. We are specifically geared to deal with matters from the point of soft collections to post-judgment execution. Administration of Estates, Estate Planning And Trusts
V. Chetty Inc. has extensive knowledge in estate planning, drafting of Wills and the formation of Trusts. Our firm has a holistic approach to dealing with the affairs of our clients to ensure that their wishes are best honoured, whilst at the same time using the necessary tools and strategies to ensure that their estates are properly structured, legally compliant and in order to minimize risk to the clients and their loved ones.
We are experts in the formation of trusts and the subsequent amendments thereto.
We have extensive experience in the administration of deceased estates and are able to fully attend to matters from the reporting of the estates to the Master of the High Court, to the finalisation of the administration thereof and the distribution of the assets to the respective heirs. We are mindful of the need to ensure, that the administration of the estates are dealt with in a most cost-effective manner, and also taking into consideration, the emotional needs of our clients.
